gratitude...

The art of gratitude is an expected practice during the holiday season. Gratitude is the practice of feeling gracious, grateful or thankful for the people or things around you. The more you practice gratitude your awareness of the positivity around you increases which helps your overall wellbeing. However, in our post pandemic world and the turmoil that we are seeing in our communities, regionally, nationally and globally the practice of gratitude has become more fervent.

As moms, we are natural protectors of our families and babies. But our wellbeing is also important. With the expectations of career, relationships, marriages, friendships and children it is easy for us to become “autopilots” of our own lives and forget to stop and take a moment.

How can we become more consistent with our practice of gratitude? Here are some helpful suggestions to start (or continue) this journey:

  1. 15minutes a day (that’s all you need!)

  2. Embed it into your current journaling practice.

  3. Take a moment to reflect.

  4. Get personal (whether it is a career gratitude or a personal gratitude, think of the challenges and the accomplishments and how that has strengthened you to be the amazing person you are today).

Share some of your thoughts with us! Happy Journaling!
